Job summary

Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport is seeking a PM Maintenance Engineer for an evening 3:00PM-11:30PM shift. This full-time role involves operating and maintaining central HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen equipment within the hotel environment.

The ideal candidate has hotel engineering experience, relevant trade training, and strong communication skills to support safe, efficient operations and guest comfort.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen systems.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and operate complex electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely operate central HVAC and mechanical equipment per procedures.
• Repair and maintain kitchen, laundry, ice machines, refrigeration, boilers, plumbing, electrical, and gas systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic problems and repair quickly and cost-effectively.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on an ongoing basis.
