Job summary

WoodSpring Suites Pensacola West seeks an experienced Chief Engineer to lead our facility maintenance operations. This hands-on role supervises HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and other building systems to ensure safety, reliability, and guest comfort.

You will manage maintenance teams, schedule preventative maintenance, coordinate inspections, and support deep-cleaning and high-departure readiness. Strong technical expertise and hospitality leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance operations in hospitality or similar facilities.
• Strong technical knowledge across building systems and safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem‑solving skills, and proven experience managing maintenance teams in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

As a key member of our operations team, the Chief Engineer ensures all building systems operate efficiently, comply with safety standards, and meet brand expectations.

• Report maintenance, safety, or security concerns immediately to management.
• Support preventative maintenance and deep‑cleaning projects during slower periods
• Assist with room inspections to ensure readiness and that rooms are back in service.
• Help strip rooms during high departures and assist with deep cleaning projects
