Job summary

OTO Development is seeking a Chief Engineer to lead maintenance operations for our property in the United States. The role requires managing a maintenance team, coordinating with leadership, and ensuring high-quality guest service while performing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.

Responsibilities include supervising subordinate techs, responding to emergencies, overseeing external contractors, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Qualifications

• You have been currently working as a Building Maintenance Tech/Engineer for at least 2 years or at least 4-5 years of experience in a related field.
• You are currently managing at least one subordinate.
• You have proficient knowledge of hand tools and maintenance duties.
• You have time management capability to accomplish work within established parameters.
• You have a customer service focus and the ability anticipate guest needs.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests in a timely manner and provide great guest service
• Perform preventative maintenance duties and procedures as needed
• Lead a team of Building Maintenance Tech I and II to complete tasks as assigned by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (QUORE).
• Perform a variety of tasks assigned by the Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
• Perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting projects
• Oversee all 3rd party outside contractors
• Respond to emergency situations promptly
• Always maintain a professional appearance
• Complete other duties as assigned
