Job Title: Hotel Maintenance Technician

Join us at MCR Hotels as a Hotel Maintenance Technician.

Location: The Godfrey Hotel Tampa

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in the preventative maintenance program
• Performing tasks safely and efficiently
• Assisting with operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment in guest rooms, public spaces, and hotel facilities
• Communicating professionally with guests, colleagues, and supervisors
• Ensuring fire and safety inspections are completed and discrepancies corrected
• Collaborating with vendors and suppliers on repair activities
• Obtaining pricing, bids, and developing cost estimates
• Monitoring tools, supplies, and inventories
• Placing orders with approved vendors
• Maintaining clean and safe working spaces
• Coordinating with front desk, housekeeping, and management for work requests and projects
• Carrying equipment to perform work tasks
• Performing additional tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies
• Basic maintenance skills and proficiency with hand and power tools
• Proficiency in Windows OS, spreadsheets, and word processing
• Desire to serve guests
• Must be 18 or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical, trade, or vocational degree
• Trade licensing (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry)
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
