Job summary

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of hotel systems and equipment. You will work with a team or independently, following all safety guidelines and regulatory logs.

The role may require flexible scheduling and involves on-site responsibilities at our Durham, NC properties. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on hotel engineering or maintenance experience and hold CPO and EPA certifications.

Qualifications

• Advanced diagnostic and repair skills in commercial HVAC/PTAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and equipment.
• Ability to identify and solve problems in high-pressure situations.
• 3–5 years of hands-on hotel engineering or maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with life-safety systems and regulatory logs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document reports for management.
• Work with team or independently; prioritize urgent calls and night/weekend shifts.
• Identify safety hazards and follow hotel emergency procedures.
• Assist in training junior Tech I team members.
