Job summary

Doubletree Omaha is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to handle preventative, repair, and routine upkeep of mechanical/electrical systems and building aesthetics. The role requires knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and safety compliance.

You will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with varied shifts and hands-on responsibilities to ensure guest comfort and safety. Ideal candidates have at least one year in a luxury hotel setting and are adept at troubleshooting,

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of relevant experience in a full-service luxury hotel.
Knowledge of maintenance trades: electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical/electrical malfunctions.
Capable of working in a fast-paced hotel environment with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems throughout the hotel.
Perform preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis.
Service the hotel’s pool, adjust chemicals and clean filters; maintain logs.
Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, gardening).
Follow safety procedures, OSHA rules, and hotel policies.
