Job summary

Omaha Marriott is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering professional to join our team in the Regency area. You will respond to service calls promptly, diagnose issues, and coordinate repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and kitchen systems to keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have hotel engineering experience, relevant certifications or vocational training, and strong communication skills. This full-time role requires the ability to read blueprints and work autonomously while

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• High work ethic and self-initiative

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take corrective action for guest-related or high-priority issues and record on the work order.
• Follow departmental procedures to perform repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work efficiently.
• Comply with local, county, state and federal codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineers on projects.
