Job summary

Omaha Marriott in the Regency Area is seeking a Maintenance/Engineering professional to join a renovated property. The role focuses on rapid response to service calls, diagnosing defects, and performing maintenance, alteration, and installation work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.

The ideal candidate has hotel engineering experience, relevant certifications or apprenticeships, and the ability to read blueprints and work with multiple trades to ensure guest-ready facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction skills.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects and troubleshoot malfunctions; take corrective action for urgent or next-day completion and record on work orders.
• Follow departmental procedures for repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with local, state and federal codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineers to complete service, replacement or installation work.
