Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is currently hiring a skilled maintenance technician for Aloft Tampa Downtown. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, building systems, and energy efficiency to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

You will service HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related equipment, perform repairs, and maintain the pool and exterior areas. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and a commitment to regular attendance in a on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building-related trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry).
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including climbing, standing and walking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain the hotel and quality standards.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks (e.g., room care).
• Inspect and perform minor repairs on electrical systems and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain hotel equipment including HVAC, boilers, pool equipment, plumbing and lighting.
• Service the hotel pool and maintain chemical levels and filters.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal including lawn care and painting.
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms and move items as needed.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints and requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Adhere to attendance requirements and be available for regular shifts.
