Job summary

Aloft Tampa Downtown, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks a Facilities/Engineering Technician to maintain building systems, ensure safety, and support energy efficiency. The role covers preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and guest-request handling in a dynamic hotel environment.

Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is valued, with emphasis on safety, communication, and reliability in an on-site team setting.

Qualifications

• HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing or Carpentry trades experience or training.
• Hotel maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety and building codes.
• Good communication skills and ability to receive instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain building systems and building envelope for safety and efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance and environment upkeep per SOPs.
• Inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Refurbish and move fixtures; respond to guest inquiries professionally.
• Adhere to attendance rules and participate in ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Assist with housekeeping-related tasks as required.
