Job summary

Island Hospitality Management in Anchorage, Alaska, seeks a Maintenance Technician responsible for inspection, repairs, and preventative maintenance of hotel systems. You will work with the Chief Engineer and team to keep guest areas and back-of-house facilities in top condition.

Qualifications

• Must be a motivated team player with initiative and achievement drive.
• Ability to identify, prevent, and solve workplace problems.
• Able to work under stress and complete work orders promptly.
• Excellent guest service while on duty and available to guests.
• Must be willing to respond to emergencies on short notice.
• Familiar with hotel emergency procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain hotel systems and equipment.
• Complete basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and flooring maintenance.
• Repair painting, roof work, and other exterior tasks as needed.
• Address pool and exercise room equipment issues.
• Support preventative maintenance programs and stock levels.
• Report shifts' activities to management; assist Chief Engineer.
