Job summary

Embassy Suites Anchorage is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, ensure preventative upkeep, and coordinate repairs across the hotel. You will supervise staff, manage inventory and vendor coordination, and uphold safety standards to deliver a safe, comfortable guest experience.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience in a hotel setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance and supervisory experience in a hotel or property management setting is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to stand and walk for an entire shift; able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Train, supervise, motivate and recognize the maintenance staff.
• Assist with inventory, ordering, and scheduling.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in all areas of the hotel and inspect work completed by other maintenance staff to ensure quality and standards are met.
• Troubleshoot various technical devices such as key card systems, internet equipment, television equipment, etc.
• Oversee safety programs and key control throughout the hotel.
• Respond to all guest requests with a sense of urgency and service frame of mind.
• Support the goals of the hotel through teamwork and collaboration with all departments.
