Job summary

PM Hotel Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its hospitality-focused properties in Washington, DC, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Area Chief Engineer. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, thorough repairs, and excellent guest service in a dynamic hotel environment.

You will handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, read MEP blueprints, perform routine upkeep, and maintain inventory. This position is non-exempt and pays $24/hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ year preventative maintenance preferred.
• Strong skill set in preventative maintenance, painting, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Read and understand MEP blueprints.
• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve issues.
• Perform painting, drywall repair, and A/C filter replacement; keep area clean.
• Test and repair equipment and electrical components; replace switches/outlets.
• Inspect tools/equipment and maintain inventory; manage parts and supplies.
• Communicate daily activities to shifts; organize daily tasks for efficiency.
• Greet guests per standards and assist with service needs; ensure guest satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety policies; report hazards; complete safety trainings.
• During bad weather, treat outdoor surfaces for guest/colleague safety.
