Job summary

Remington Hotels is seeking a skilled Hotel Engineer to perform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building systems. The role requires reading blueprints and schematics, and adhering to safety and code standards.

Ideal candidates will have vocational training or an associate degree with licensure where required, plus strong communication skills and initiative to coordinate with other departments to ensure guest-ready facilities.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineering experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• State certification or licensure where required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, and take corrective action for urgent or 2-day tasks.
• Follow departmental procedures for repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with local, county, state and federal codes.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters, and night engineers to complete work.
