Job summary

LBA Hospitality on Hilton Head Island is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist the General Manager in keeping all hotel areas functional and compliant with brand standards, while delivering courteous service to guests.

You will supervise maintenance staff, diagnose and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC and related systems, and keep logs, checklists, and safety protocols aligned with LBA guidelines. A physical, hands-on role requiring flexibility across shifts.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years as a maintenance engineer or technician.
• HVAC and Pool Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Walk property grounds regularly to oversee functioning of the facilities.
• Interview and select new maintenance staff.
• Oversee maintenance staff and ensure adherence to handbook policies and procedures.
• Diagnose malfunctions and defects and delegate repairs as appropriate.
• Perform general minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment and HVAC systems.
• Maintain facility using preventative maintenance guidelines and ensure repairs are made to plumbing and electrical systems.
• Conduct quality inspections and recommend safety, security and facility improvements.
• Respond to work orders promptly and train staff on responsibilities and safety.
• Maintain all paperwork in accordance with LBA standards.
