Job summary

Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue is seeking an on-site Engineer to perform preventive and repair maintenance to keep the hotel meeting quality and sustainability standards while ensuring guests are welcomed warmly.

The role focuses on routine inspections, building repairs, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment maintenance, with emphasis on safety, guest satisfaction, and adherence to codes. You will support operations during peak periods and other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework in a related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct room inspections and identify repair needs.
• Install or repair sheetrock and other wall coverings.
• Paint designated areas and items.
• Install and replace basic electrical fixtures; replace switches, receptacles, bulbs and fixtures.
• Repair furniture.
• Install, replace and program televisions.
• Perform minor plumbing functions.
• Replace and repair heating and cooling pumps and perform preventive maintenance on units.
• Trace and repair water lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Follow local, state and Federal codes.
