Job summary

Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to support building systems, guest rooms, meeting spaces, and back-of-house areas. You will troubleshoot, perform repairs, and coordinate with other departments to keep the property in top condition.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in building maintenance, strong knowledge of building systems, and the ability to work different shifts as business demands. Hotel experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of building maintenance experience, preferably in hotels.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and paint surfaces of the building structure, furniture, and equipment using proper techniques.
• Measure lengths, assess repair areas, plaster or spackle surfaces.
• Mix paints, match colors, and apply to walls, furniture, and equipment.
• Install and repair wall and ceiling surfaces, and hang vinyl coverings.
• Maintain and repair caulked, grouted, masonry, and tile surfaces across the facility.
• Prepare wood surfaces for staining, varnishing, and lacquering; read blueprints as needed.
• Support engineering operations for guest rooms, meeting spaces and back-of-house areas.
