Job summary

Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to ensure VIP and guest rooms, as well as corridors, meet cleanliness standards. The role requires coordinating with maintenance for deficiencies and expediting guest requests, while ensuring safety and policy adherence.

The position emphasizes inspecting rooms, preparing work orders, and guiding housekeeping staff. Weekend and holiday work is required in a 24/7 hotel environment.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred.
• Minimum six months inspector experience or one year of comparable housekeeping experience.
• Ability to read and write English to complete forms such as a room status report.
• Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to subordinates.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to exercise judgment and control over subordinates.
• Talk to many different kinds of people to give information and answer questions.
• High School Diploma: hospitality/Hotel Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms and corridors for cleanliness and appearance.
• Prepare work orders for shampooers to clean carpets and supply room attendants to maintain par stock.
• Ensure all jobs are completed within the shift.
• Report maintenance deficiencies in guest rooms and corridors via work orders.
• Expedite special guest requests, such as extra towels, blankets or pillows.
• Open and Close Housekeeping Department.
• Turns in all lost and found items and all guest room keys.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Assists other Housekeeping Personnel when needed.
