Job summary

Pittsburgh Marriott City Center, operated by HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks a skilled maintenance technician to uphold building systems and guest safety. You will perform preventative maintenance, electrical checks, and routine repairs to ensure product quality and reliability.

Responsibilities include servicing pools, maintaining energy efficiency, and addressing guest requests with courtesy. A background in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry is preferred; hotel experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; adapt communication to audience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain the hotel and uphold quality standards.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical systems, HVAC, lighting, and related equipment.
• Check and repair hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen, laundry, boilers, and pool equipment.
• Service the hotel's pool, adjust chemicals, and maintain logs and records.
• Maintain exterior of the building and curb appeal, including snow removal and landscaping.
• Move and refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms as needed.
• Respond to guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
