Job summary

Courtyard by Marriott Lincoln is seeking a Part-Time Hotel Engineer responsible for guestroom preventative maintenance and assisting in repairs of hotel equipment, including pumps and motors.

You will report to the Engineering Supervisor and Chief Engineer, work evenings and weekends, and handle tasks ranging from painting to pool testing while ensuring clean, well-maintained mechanical areas and timely guest service.

Qualifications

• Hotel engineer is responsible for hotel guestroom preventative maintenance and assists in repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment including mechanical equipment like pumps and motors.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Engineering Supervisor and Chief Engineer
• Available days, nights and weekends
• Capable of learning advanced maintenance procedures on complicated machinery
• Paint designated areas and items
• Respond to all guest’s requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper
• Complete work order requests in a timely manner
• Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition
• Inspect public areas daily for any issues
• Be on-call after hours and on weekends
• Pool and Spa chemical testing
• Provide maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas and offices
• Repairs may include plumbing, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs
• Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and keep updated records
• Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper including snow removal in extreme cold temperatures
