Job summary

Hampton by Hilton in Columbus, MS seeks a Maintenance Engineer to provide technical and maintenance services across the hotel, keeping equipment and systems in excellent condition. You will perform routine preventive maintenance, assist with repairs, inspect electrical and plumbing systems, service pool equipment, and coordinate with other departments to support guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical/electrical problems.
• Strong communication with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines and building systems run smoothly and the building stays in good condition.
• Assist with repairs and complete work orders (replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, etc.).
• Inspect electrical systems (air conditioning controls, lighting, etc.) and perform minor repairs.
• Service hotel equipment including boilers, pools, HVAC, plumbing, and kitchen/laundry equipment.
• Maintain curb appeal and exterior maintenance (snow removal, lawn care, painting, trash removal).
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure satisfaction.
