Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC is seeking an engineering professional to respond to service calls and maintain hotel facilities at Hyatt Place Columbus in Mississippi. The role emphasizes safe operation, preventive maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, and other systems, plus rounds to ensure everything is working smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or trade school courses in building maintenance and construction.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, and plumbing equipment; perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation.
• Two years of prior experience in building maintenance and construction.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests and maintenance issues promptly and safely.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler, pool, etc).
• Monitor water chemistry and systems, operate boiler/chiller, and maintain logs of readings.
• Keep maintenance spaces clean and organized; conduct rounds to ensure operations are functional.
• Respond to emergencies (alarms, power failures) and coordinate with authorities as needed.
• Assist with parking lot maintenance and snow removal; participate in special projects.
