Job summary

TownePlace Suites Jacksonville, located at 400 Northwest Drive in Jacksonville, NC, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support guest rooms and public spaces. You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety checks, keeping areas clean, safe, and well-organized to ensure a welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities include responding to repair requests, conducting property walks, following PM programs, and maintaining proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must have effective listening and conflict resolution skills.
• Must convey information clearly and provide hospitality to guests.

Responsibilities

• Respond to repair requests from guests, confirm and document completion.
• Keep room and public space Preventative Maintenance work up to date and on schedule.
• Follow safety measures and report emergencies to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start and end; note needs and complete tasks.
• Maintain clean, well-organized maintenance areas during shift and before departure.
