Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville West - Engineer Lead Aimbridge Hospitality is hiring a Lead Maintenance Engineer in Jacksonville, FL. You will lead daily maintenance operations, drive safety, and mentor the maintenance team while ensuring guest comfort and property reliability.

Ideal candidates bring trade licenses and hotel experience, strong communication, and hands-on skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and handle financial information and basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance crew, assign projects, and oversee daily operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance, respond to guest calls promptly, complete work orders.
• Apply carpentry, painting, plumbing, and related skills to keep the property in top condition.
• Ensure safety protocols and hazard prevention across the property.
• Coordinate with the team, manage schedules, and support guest satisfaction.
• Inspect grounds, lights, irrigation, pool and spa for health-code compliance.
• Maintain maintenance records and assist with meetings and events.
