Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician at the Marriott Jacksonville Downtown. The role focuses on maintaining all building systems and the building envelope to ensure guest safety and high standards of service in a renovation environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, electrical and plumbing checks, and maintaining pool and exterior areas. The position requires physical capability and clear communication, with a focus on guest

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in building trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry).
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preventative maintenance and complete work orders to maintain hotel facilities.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks (e.g., room care).
• Check electrical systems and perform minor repairs or replacements.
• Inspect and repair hotel equipment including appliances, boilers, HVAC, and plumbing fixtures.
• Service the pool and maintain chemical levels and filters.
• Maintain exterior areas and curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting).
• Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms as needed.
• Move furniture and fixtures throughout the building.
• Respond courteously to guest questions and requests to ensure satisfaction.
