Job summary

Valor is seeking an on-site Maintenance Engineer to respond to engineering service calls and keep hotel equipment in safe, efficient condition. You’ll prioritize guest requests, perform preventive maintenance, and support operations to ensure a reliable guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized courses in building maintenance are a plus.
• Experience maintaining HVAC, electrical, plumbing systems and basic carpentry.
• Two years of maintenance or construction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest requests with courtesy and safety.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples for boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and manage chemical levels.
• Operate equipment and monitor domestic water systems and electrical switchgear.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and daily operations.
• Conduct rounds to ensure systems are functioning and log maintenance requests.
