Job summary

Valor Hospitality Partners is seeking a proactive Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest requests and maintain hotel equipment across kitchens, laundry, boiler, pool, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms. You will perform preventive maintenance, monitor systems, and ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment.

The role requires at least two years of building maintenance experience, strong HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills, and effective communication with staff and guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment and perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.
• Communicate information and hotel services to management, staff and guests.
• Two years prior experience in building maintenance and construction.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs on hotel equipment (kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, pool, HVAC, electrical, guest rooms).
• Take water samples of boiler, loop, and cooling tower systems and treat the water to maintain chemical levels.
• Operate equipment; maintain domestic hot/cold water systems and monitor electrical switch gears.
• Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance in engineering spaces and other daily operations.
• Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.
• Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings, and maintain logs.
• Respond to emergency situations including fire alarms, bomb threats, disasters and power failures.
• Operate boiler and chiller and maintain temperatures throughout the building.
• Assist with maintenance of parking lot and snow removal as needed.
• Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
