Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer II to perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance across property operations. You’ll respond to requests, conduct inspections, and ensure safe, reliable facilities while supporting guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in hotel maintenance, relevant trade certifications, and the ability to read technical diagrams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on maintenance experience in hospitality or facilities
• Post-high school training or degree in maintenance/engineering
• HVAC, plumbing, or electrical trade certifications preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
• Strong problem-solving and safety compliance mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled trade work across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns
• Conduct routine inspections and address maintenance issues
• Operate tools/equipment safely following MSDS guidelines
• Maintain documentation and maintenance records for work performed
• Assist with dispatch responsibilities and team workflow as needed
• Communicate job status clearly with supervisors
• Support emergency response procedures and event setup as required
