Job summary

The Engineer II at Hôtel Swexan oversees preventative maintenance of all hotel equipment in line with ASRE/OSHA standards and hotel maintenance policies. He/she will maintain HVAC/R systems, monitor energy management components, and complete maintenance work orders with accuracy.

With 6+ years in hotel engineering/maintenance, you will ensure safety protocols, participate in problem-solving teams, and support other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus vocational/technical background.
• Trade/vocational school or apprenticeship in refrigeration/AC.
• 6+ years hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• 2+ years hands-on Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical and kitchen equipment experience.
• EPA/CFC Universal Certification and Pool certification.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all equipment and systems within the HVAC/R.
• Familiarity with the energy management system and field components.
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance and respective reports; complete assigned work orders in a timely fashion.
• Handle guest complaints utilizing best practice procedures.
• Inspect and troubleshoot all equipment, including ceiling units and suspended units.
• Responsible for Maintenance Engineer duties and daily rounds.
• Maintain the equipment logs, files and operation manuals for ice machines and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain property inventory and requisition parts as needed.
