Job summary

Loews Coronado Bay Resort is seeking a skilled Engineer II to perform maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general systems to ensure safe, reliable operations. You will respond to service requests, inspect facilities, and support emergency procedures while upholding high safety standards.

You should have hands-on trade experience, be a dependable team player, and commit to delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in maintenance or skilled trades in hospitality or hotel maintenance
• Post-high school training or equivalent in maintenance/engineering
• HVAC/plumbing/electrical trade certifications preferred
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry or related trades
• Ability to read blueprints/diagrams is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and guest-first mindset

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled trade work in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance
• Respond to maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergencies promptly
• Conduct routine inspections and address potential issues
• Operate tools safely and follow MSDS guidelines
• Maintain documentation and maintenance records
• Assist with dispatch and team workflow as needed
• Communicate status and concerns with supervisors
• Support event setup and minor maintenance as required
• Maintain clean, organized work areas
• Adhere to safety standards and environmental compliance
• Promote teamwork, safety and hospitality in all interactions
