Job summary

Omaha Marriott Downtown, part of Marcus Hotels & Resorts, seeks an Engineer I to maintain building systems and equipment, minimize downtime, and perform daily preventative tasks. Located in downtown Omaha with 333 rooms and 15,000+ sq ft of event space, this premier hotel offers growth opportunities in a vibrant Capitol District setting.

Ideal candidates have prior engineering experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Previous engineering experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling and Power Engineering Training Program certification preferred.
• Must read and interpret Lockout Tag Out, SDS and maintenance manuals.
• Effective communication with guests and associates.
• Able to analyze problems and implement solutions as an independent mechanic.
• Must use hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shift reports and maintain the Engineer's log in Marriott GXP.
• Adhere to OSHA standards and procedures.
• Maintain interior and exterior building areas.
• Address guest and associate requests promptly to foster rapport.
• Perform preventative maintenance on FF&E.
• Assist cost control and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Troubleshoot and repair applicable equipment as needed.
