Job summary

Omaha Marriott Downtown is seeking an Engineer I to keep all building systems and equipment in good repair, performing daily maintenance and preventative tasks to minimize downtime. Based in downtown Omaha, you’ll join a team renowned for hospitality and guest experience.

Responsibilities include daily shift reports, OSHA adherence, interior/exterior maintenance, and prompt guest/associate service. Strong reading ability of safety docs and willingness to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as Lockout Tag Out, SDS, safety awareness information, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and associates.
• Must be able to analyze problems, identify course of action, implement solutions and work as an indecent mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily shift reports including documenting all calls in the Engineer’s log, monitoring and closing out calls through Marriott GXP system.
• Adhere to all OSHA standards and procedures.
• Maintain building interior and exterior.
• Foster excellent guest/associate rapport by promptly addressing requests.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all FF&E.
• Assist in cost control: Heat, Power, Light, Sewer and Water and provide recommendations for improved methods and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, repair and or maintain the following:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

CFC Certification for Refrigerant handling

Power Engineering Training Program certification
