Job summary

The Shelborne Miami Beach, part of Proper Hospitality, seeks a General Maintenance Engineer to maintain building systems across the hotel, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair issues while supporting guest comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include general and preventive maintenance, guest room and public area support, and coordinating with other departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training in maintenance/engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across hotel facilities.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and departments.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Assist in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces maintenance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance per schedule.
