Job summary

Loews Miami Beach Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented Engineer III to support maintenance operations across the property. You will perform general repairs in guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, collaborating with senior engineers to keep systems safe and efficient.

The role requires at least 2 years in hotel maintenance, a high school diploma, and hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or refrigeration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hotel maintenance experience or related technical work.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, or related maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests in guest rooms, public spaces, meeting rooms, and back of house areas.
• Assist senior engineers with repairs, inspections, and system monitoring.
• Replace light bulbs and maintain proper inventory of supplies and tools.
• Monitor and maintain building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Support minor setups for hotel functions and events as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure the engineering shop meets safety standards.
• Follow proper hotel procedures when repairing occupied guest rooms or public areas.
• Complete daily assignments and update supervisors on maintenance request status.
• Assist with floor and room inspections to confirm system performance.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities to reduce waste.
• Comply with all safety regulations, hotel policies, and environmental standards.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
