Job summary

The Hotel ATL in Atlanta is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Engineer to perform interior and exterior preventative maintenance and basic repairs, ensuring safety, brand standards, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will respond to engineering service calls and promptly report emergencies to management.

As part of the engineering team, you will inspect mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, fix leaks, troubleshoot equipment, assist guests, and coordinate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in engineering or related field preferred.
• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities management, or similar role advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Physical fitness for lifting, bending, and operating equipment.
• Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Maintain interior and external building systems and perform routine inspections of MEP and HVAC systems.
• Perform repairs and basic maintenance tasks, fix leaks, replace faulty components, troubleshoot equipment failures.
• Respond to engineering service calls and report emergencies to management.
• Ensure all building systems are operational and compliant with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments and emergency services during critical situations.
• Interact professionally with guests while performing maintenance tasks in guest rooms or public areas.
