Job summary

Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport is seeking an experienced hotel engineer to respond to service calls promptly and perform maintenance, repair, alteration and installation work across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems.

You will read blueprints, follow safety and code requirements, and coordinate with electricians, carpenters and night engineers to complete tasks efficiently in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience preferred (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen)
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical/plumbing schematics
• Strong communication and self-management skills

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half an hour of receipt.
• Determine defects and troubleshoot malfunctions, recording actions on work orders.
• Perform repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work per procedures.
• Comply with applicable codes, laws and requirements.
• Coordinate with electricians, carpenters, painters and night engineers to complete tasks.
