Job summary

Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport is seeking an experienced maintenance engineer to respond to service calls, troubleshoot and repair building systems, and coordinate with other hotel departments. The role requires HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and construction knowledge, with vocational training or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

The position is full-time in Philadelphia, PA. Starting rate is $19.00 per hour, and candidates should be able to operate in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience is required.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and commercial kitchen systems is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and understand technical parts breakdowns.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• High work ethic and self-initiative are important.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls within 30 minutes of receipt.
• Determine defects and troubleshoot malfunctions; take corrective action when needed and record on work orders.
• Follow departmental procedures for repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with local, county, state and federal codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments (electrician, carpenter, painter, night engineer) to complete work.
