Job summary

Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport is seeking a full-time Hotel Engineer in Philadelphia, PA. You will respond to service calls, diagnose defects, and coordinate with electricians, carpenters and night engineers to complete repairs and installations.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• Physical requirements for an office role.
• Ability to lift and move 10–25 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take corrective action if guest related or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record on work order.
• Follow procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with local, county, state and federal codes and requirements.
• Coordinate with electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.
