Job summary

Sheraton Suites Philadelphia Airport is looking for a skilled hotel engineer to maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and kitchen facilities. The role requires vocational training or an associate's degree, plus relevant certifications.

You will work with electricians, carpenters, painters, and engineers to install, repair and upgrade systems. Responsibilities include responding to service calls within 30 minutes, troubleshooting defects, following safety and building codes, and ensuring efficient

Qualifications

• Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen and general building construction.
• Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more area; state certification or licensure where required.
• Understand and efficiently maintain and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration and boiler systems.
• Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings and technical parts breakdown.

Responsibilities

• Respond to all service calls within half hour from time call is received.
• Determine defects, troubleshoot malfunctions, take immediate corrective action if guest related/top priority or scheduled for completion within 2 days and record on the departmental work order form.
• Follow departmental procedures in efficiently performing repair, maintenance, alteration and installation work.
• Comply with the latest local, county, state and federal governmental codes, laws and requirements.
• Coordinate with other department personnel such as electrician, carpenter, painter and night engineer in completing service, replacement, alteration and new installation work.
