Job summary

Hilton Washington DC National Mall is seeking a dedicated Engineer responsible for refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, air conditioning and general hotel maintenance. You will respond to HotSos requests and follow management direction, ensuring safety and service quality across guest areas and back-of-house systems.

Key duties include troubleshooting HVAC, electrical and plumbing, maintaining blueprints and schematics, and working with colleagues from multiple departments

Qualifications

• Ability to understand Guests’ service needs.
• Ability to follow supervisor’s instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to hotel policies and safety procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, plumbing, HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
• Be punctual, in full uniform with tools for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Address guest room maintenance including plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Repair HVAC equipment, lighting, and related hardware.
• Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems and respond to emergencies.
• Conserve energy and report improvement ideas to Engineering Management.
• Maintain tools and equipment and ensure proper storage.
• Assist with emergencies to protect guests and building.
