Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, safety, and guest room upkeep across our properties.

You will collaborate with engineering and hotel operations to keep facilities functioning at peak performance. The ideal candidate has experience in hotel maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a hotel maintenance position
• One year of college or trade school in mechanical/electrical/technical disciplines
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry

Responsibilities

• Oversees the property grounds, public areas and hotel guest rooms
• Conducts preventative maintenance to prevent breakdowns in hotel accommodations
• Paints, replaces electrical accessories, maintains HVAC
• Check fixtures, lighting, and signs for proper operation; maintain spare parts and light bulbs
• Responds to maintenance orders in a timely manner
• Fulfills work orders in a timely manner
• Completed daily rounds, identifying and reporting problems
• Perform various other duties as assigned
