Job summary

Wyndham San Diego Bayside is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to uphold all building systems and the building envelope, ensuring guest and associate safety and comfort. Qualifications

• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades required in 1 or more of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 25–50 lbs and work in a dynamic hotel environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills across diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all building related systems and the building envelope to ensure guest and associate safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders (e.g., replace ceiling tiles, light bulbs, etc.).
• Inspect electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and general equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Service hotel amenities such as pools, boilers, and laundry equipment.
• Maintain exterior curb appeal and refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms.
• Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests.
