Job summary

MCR is seeking a maintenance technician to uphold hotel facilities, perform repairs, and ensure safety and cleanliness. You will support preventative maintenance, respond to guest repair requests, and assist with daily operations to keep the property in optimal condition.

The role requires a proactive attitude, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, with a willingness to cover varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Listening and conflict resolution skills are important.
• Clear communication in English is required.
• Must be 18 years or older and willing to work varied hours.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and confirm completion through the work order system.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to the PM program.
• Ensure safety measures and health codes are followed; report emergencies to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at the start and end of shifts; document needs.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized and assist with other tasks as needed.
