Job summary

Extell Hospitality Services in New York City is seeking an Engineer to oversee the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities and building systems. This line-level role focuses on day-to-day tasks and preventive maintenance in guest rooms as directed by the Director or Assistant Director of Engineering.

You will work with the engineering team to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff, responding quickly to requests and documenting work in our maintenance

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality maintenance/engineering role.
• HVAC license and LFSD certificate preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance across hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas.
• Handle HVAC, electrical, plumbing repairs and preventive maintenance per direction.
• Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests promptly.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Document work and report issues using maintenance tracking systems.
