Residence Inn Kansas City Olathe is seeking a maintenance engineer to perform preventative and repair work across guest rooms and public areas. You will ensure quality standards are met while maintaining a safe, guest-focused environment.

The role requires experience in maintenance, electrical/plumbing basics, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays. Training will be provided for hotel-specific systems and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and trade school coursework preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or equivalent training required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and repair maintenance to ensure hotel equipment and spaces operate safely.
• Inspect rooms and common areas for repair needs and quality standards.
• Install or repair electrical fixtures, plumbing, and basic HVAC components as needed.
• Repair furniture, walls, and surfaces; paint designated areas.
• Trace and repair water lines and kitchen equipment; program televisions.
• Maintain records of repairs and preventive maintenance; follow safety guidelines.
