Job summary

Homewood Suites by Hilton Kansas City Speedway is seeking an Engineer to support maintenance across all hotel operations. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.

Reliable transportation and a positive, can-do attitude are essential. The role requires 2+ years in facilities or hospitality, a technical or vocational degree preferred, and the ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues of co-workers and guests.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must have a desire to serve all guests.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift, and clock out at scheduled end time.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and document completion.
• Maintain preventative maintenance and safety standards.
• Ensure all safety measures are followed and report emergencies.
• Conduct full property walks at the beginning and end of scheduled shifts.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and well-organized during shifts.
