Job summary

MCR's Residence Inn Norfolk location is seeking a maintenance Engineer to manage repair requests, execute preventative maintenance, and uphold safety standards across guest rooms and public areas. You will conduct property walks, document work orders, and coordinate with the General Manager and maintenance team to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have a technical or vocational background and at least two years' experience in a commercial facility or hospitality setting; flexible

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Respond to repair requests from guests and document completion via the electronic work order system.
• Perform preventative maintenance on rooms and public spaces as scheduled.
• Follow safety measures and health codes; report emergencies to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start and end; document needs.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized during shifts.
