Job summary

Commonwealth Lodging Management LLC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Marriott Norfolk Waterside in Norfolk, VA. The role requires basic maintenance tasks, familiarity with hotel systems, and strong guest-relations skills.

You will work under supervision to support engineers and housekeeping teams and ensure safe operation of hotel facilities. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, handling tools properly, and assisting in repairs across electrical, plumbing, and carpentry

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
• Experience with hotel systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be in proper uniform with nametag.
• Resolve guest complaints and maintain guest relations.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel features, hours, room rates, promotions and schedules.
• Assist in maintenance tasks with electricians, carpenters, plumbers and painters.
• Use tools safely and in accordance with OSHA and hotel requirements.
• Ensure security of assigned keys and adherence to codes and policies.
