Lafrance Hospitality's Holiday Inn Express in Middletown, RI is seeking a Full-Time Hotel Maintenance Engineer. The role maintains the building and grounds and operates its mechanical and electrical systems to ensure guest comfort.

Shifts are Day Shift, Monday through Friday with weekend call-ins only in emergencies. The position offers hotel room discounts, tuition reimbursement, and 401K matching among other benefits. Pay ranges from $24 to $28 per hour.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting of electrical/mechanical systems.
• Experience maintaining building systems and safety standards.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment to defined specifications.

Responsibilities

• Review maintenance problems, work orders and prioritize tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical/mechanical systems to required level.
• Inspect property to identify needs and schedule preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate contractor bids and ensure work meets specifications.
• Coordinate with health, safety, fire and building inspectors for compliance.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis.
• Service the hotel pool, adjust chemicals and clean filters.
• Maintain exterior areas if not contracted, e.g., lawn care, painting.
