Job summary

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to service and repair building systems across our properties. You will maintain electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment, ensuring safety and guest comfort.

The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to learn and contribute to a welcoming, distinctive culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a hotel engineer is preferred or comparable maintenance experience at an establishment such as apartment complex or office building.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and paint all parts of the hotel.
• Install and replace lighting fixtures and bulbs.
• Clean carpets and rugs.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
• Detect malfunction and discuss repairs with supervisors.
• Dismantle defective machines and install repaired parts.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Fabricate and repair furniture and fixtures.
• Attend training classes and meetings.
• Paint corridors, hotel rooms, and lobby areas.
• Transport heavy boxes within the hotel for maintenance.
• Assist in delivering and setup of new equipment.
• Communicate with Maintenance Supervisor on projects.
